W&L's Rollo Earns ODAC Women's Swimmer of the Week Honors

FOREST, Va. – The Old Dominion Athletic Conference released its weekly awards on Monday for the week ending January 8, and Washington and Lee senior Emily Rollo (Haddonfield, N.J. / Haddonfield Memorial) was named the Women’s Swimmer of the Week.

Rollo led the Generals to a 155-96 victory over Bridgewater on Saturday afternoon after winning two individual events and swimming on two winning relays.

She claimed the top spot in the 100-yard back with a time of 1:01.17 and placed first in the 200-yard back in a time of 2:10.91. Rollo was a member of the winning 200-yard medley relay that touched the wall in 1:51.28 and she was also part of the 200-yard free relay squad that finished first with a time of 1:42.03.

This is the sixth ODAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week award this season for the Generals and the second for Rollo, who was an All-American in the 100 and 200 back, as well as the 200 IM last season.

Washington and Lee will return to the pool on Saturday, when it hosts Catholic at 1:00 pm.
