W&L Women's Swimming Ranked 10th in Nation

SOMERS, Wis. – The Washington and Lee women's swimming team improved on its ranking in the Endless Pools/CollegeSwimming.com Division III Top 25 poll and has moved up two spots and into the Top 10.

The women received 547.9 points to rank 10th in the nation, while currently holding a 4-2 record. The weekend of November 22-24, the Generals took home first place at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational. The Generals won five individual events at the meet and took home the top spot in two relays.

Two first-year swimmers, Elisabeth Holmes (Raleigh, N.C. / Needham B. Broughton) and Emily Rollo (Haddonfield, N.J. / Haddonfield Memorial), have been named ODAC Swimmer of the Week this season. Holmes has been honored three times, while Rollo has earned the honor once. Holmes also picked up the weekly honor for the Bluegrass Mountain Conference.

The Generals will return to the pool on Saturday, January 11 when they travel to Bridgewater for a 6:00 pm meet.
