W&L's Kasoff Competes at BMC Swimming Championships

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Washington and Lee sophomore swimmer Lauren Kasoff (Owings Mills, Md./Saint Paul's) finished 17th in a field of 33 competitors in the 200 IM on Thursday at the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships at the Mecklenburg Aquatic Club.

Kasoff is competing as an individual, joining other members of the women's swimming team during the BMC Championships.

In the preliminary round, Kasoff clocked in at 2:16.13 to be seeded 19th going into the finals. Kasoff's time in the finals (2:14.82) allowed her to move up two positions to take the 17th place.

The Generals will continue to compete select individuals at the BMC Championships throughout the weekend, with preliminary rounds for day three beginning at 10:00 am Friday.
