Lexington, Va. – The Washington and Lee women's soccer team cruised to a 10-0 victory over Hollins on Wednesday afternoon at Watt Field, with nine Generals scoring at least one goal.
W&L (5-2-1, 2-0) scored five goals in the first half of the game improving to 32-3-1 all-time against Hollins (0-6, 0-2).
First-year midfielder Allie Miller (Atlanta, Ga. / Westminster Schools) led the way for the Generals, tallying a game-high two goals, while senior midfielder Rebecca Morris (Nashville, Tenn. / Harpeth Hall) dished out a career-high three assists.
Senior midfielder Chandler Wickers (Portola Valley, Calif. / Menlo School), sophomore forwards Kelsey Chamberlin (Greensboro, N.C. / Page), and Kelsey Anderson (Alexandria, Va. / Episcopal), first-year midfielder Elle Prillaman (Roanoke, Va. / Patrick Henry), and first-year forwards Megan Duncanson (Hillsborough, Calif. / Crystal Springs Uplands) and Sydney Von Rosenberg (Boerne, Texas / Boerne-Samuel V. Champion) all tallied one goal.
Sophomore defender Kristen Castle (Gambrills, Md. / South River) recorded an assist.
The Generals out-shot Hollins, 38-0, and held an 11-0 edge in corner kicks. Senior keeper Audrey Haisley played all 90 minutes in goal for Hollins and collected 11 saves.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Saturday when it travels to Randolph for a 1:00 pm contest.
