KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) announced its 2013 Division III All-South Atlantic Region selections and the Washington and Lee women's soccer team had two players recognized.
A team captain, Beasley saw action in 21 games with 20 starts this season. She registered a team-leading 23 points on eight goals and seven assists and finished fourth in the conference in assists. This is the second time in three years that Beasley has garnered all-region honors. Beasley was also named to the Capital One Academic All-District squad and was selected First Team All-ODAC earlier this season.
Hogan started all 18 contests in which she played for the Generals' defense during her rookie season. She anchored a back line that allowed just nine total goals. That figure improved in conference play, as W&L surrendered just five scores against league competition. She helped the Blue and White lead the conference with 13 shutouts, to go along with its conference-leading 0.42 goals-against average. Earlier this season, she was named ODAC Rookie of the Year and she earned First Team All-ODAC laurels.
W&L ended the 2013 campaign with a 17-3-1 overall record and an 11-1 conference mark after falling to Lynchburg, 2-0, in the ODAC Tournament championship match.
