Lawson and Westfal Highlight Major Award Winners at W&L
Washington and Lee University held its annual Athletic Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 15 at Lee Chapel. Headlining the award winners were senior soccer player Kat Lawson (White Post, Va./Clarke County) and senior football player Charlie Westfal (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan), who were selected as the “Pres” Brown Outstanding Senior Female and Male Athletes of the Year as voted on by members of the department.

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has announced that Washington and Lee University has claimed the Dan Wooldridge Overall Sports Champion Cup for the ninth-straight year.

Numerous W&L Students Earn Winter Scholar-Athlete Awards
Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn has announced that 185 students earned Scholar-Athlete awards during the recently completed winter term. The students are all members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.500.

W&L's Lawson Receives NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship
The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has announced that Washington and Lee senior women’s soccer player Kat Lawson (White Post, Va./Clarke County) is one of 29 Division I, II and III female athletes selected to receive an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship for participation in a fall sport.
