W&L Wrestling Suffers a 47-0 Loss to George Mason

LEXINGTON, Va. – The Washington and Lee wrestling team suffered a 47-0 setback to Division I George Mason on Saturday afternoon at Doremus Gym.

W&L's (0-3) closest match of the day was an 8-4 loss at 174 pounds by first-year Mac Evarts (Millersville, Pa./Penn Manor) to GMU (1-0) sophomore Matt Stull (Johnson City, Tenn./Science Hall). 

Sophomore Ron Tassoni (Media, Pa./Haverford School) also lost by decision at 184 pounds, falling to first-year Zach Martinez (Stafford, Va./Colonial Forge) by a score of 6-1.

Washington and Lee returns to action on December 20 when it travels to Providence, R.I., to participate in the East Coast Holiday Classic.
