INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced its 2018 Division III Women’s Lacrosse Tournament field on Sunday night and the ninth-ranked Washington and Lee women’s lacrosse team will travel to York (Pa.) for a first-round matchup against Cabrini.
Winners of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, W&L will face the Cavaliers from the Colonial States Athletic Conference on Saturday, May 12. The time of the contest is to be determined.
The Generals are currently holding a 15-4 overall record and are ranked ninth in the IWLCA Coaches poll. W&L is making its 18th trip to the NCAA Tournament after winning its ninth straight ODAC title with a 14-7 victory over Randolph-Macon on Sunday.
Cabrini has notched a 12-7 record after posting a 20-14 win over Marywood in the CSAC Championship. The Cavaliers will be making their 15th appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
The winner of Saturday’s game will take on fifth-ranked York (Pa.) (13-4) in second-round action on Sunday, May 13.
