BALTIMORE, Md. – Inside Lacrosse recently released its Player of the Year awards and sophomore midfielder Haley Tucker (Manakin-Sabot, Va. / St. Catherine's) was named the ILWomen Division III National Breakout Player of the Year.
Tucker was a first team all-conference, all-region and all-state honoree this season, after posting a team-high 103 draw controls. She also recorded 50 points on 37 goals and 13 assists. The First Team All-American also picked up 23 ground balls and caused 14 turnovers. Tucker currently ranks fourth in program history with 152 draw controls.
The Generals finished the 2017 campaign with a 19-2 overall record, which set a new program record for victories in a season. The Blue and White captured its eighth-straight ODAC title and advanced to the NCAA Semifinals for the first time in program history, before falling to TCNJ, 5-4, in double overtime.
