GRAND LAKE, Colo. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) released the rosters for the 2017 Division III Senior All-Star Game on Friday afternoon and Washington and Lee had two players named to the south squad.
Senior defender Parker Hamill (Darien, Conn. / Darien) and senior midfielder Olivia Sisson (Great Falls, Va. / Langley) are two of 22 players who will compete for the south team in the game, which will be held on Saturday, June 3 at 2:00 pm at Tierney Field at US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md.
A two-time First Team All-ODAC selection and a Third Team All-America honoree this season, Hamill has played a major role for the W&L defense that ranks second in Division III with a 4.10 goals-against average and has held opponents to single-digit goal totals in 19 contests. Additionally, she has registered 24 ground balls, 11 caused turnovers and three draw controls. The team captain also earned first team all-region accolades earlier this season.
A first team all-conference and all-region honoree, Sisson has started 19 contests in the Generals' midfield. She leads the team with 37 ground balls, while also tallying 38 points on 27 goals and 11 assists. A team captain this season, Sisson also ranks second on the team with 19 caused turnovers and 28 draw controls.
Hamill and Sisson are the first Generals selected to play in the Senior All-Star Game since Colleen Evans '09 and Kat Michaels '09 participated in the game in 2009.
The second-ranked Generals are currently 19-1 overall and will be making their first appearance in the NCAA Semifinals in program history. W&L will take on top-ranked TCNJ on Saturday at 12:00 pm in Salem, Va., on the campus of Roanoke College.
