Washington and Lee Women's Lacrosse Recognized by IWLCA
GRAND LAKE, Colo. -- The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) released its 2014 Academic Honor Squads on Monday and the Washington and Lee women’s lacrosse team was among the schools recognized.
The Generals were one of 125 NCAA Division III programs to earn academic honors. In order to qualify, teams must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher for the 2013-14 academic year. Other Old Dominion Athletic Conference teams to make the list included Guilford, Lynchburg, Randolph, Randolph-Macon, Shenandoah, Sweet Briar and Virginia Wesleyan. W&L ended its 2014 season with 17-3 overall record after falling to The College of New Jersey, 13-7, in the third round of the NCAA Division III tournament. The Generals also claimed the program’s 15th ODAC Championship this spring.
