W&L Women's Lacrosse Recognized by IWLCA
GRAND LAKE, Colo. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) released its 2012 Academic Squads and the Washington and Lee women's lacrosse team was among the schools recognized.
The Generals were one of 61 NCAA Division III programs to earn Academic Squad accolades. To qualify, teams must have achieved a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.0 or above for the 2011-12 academic year. Other ODAC teams to make the list included Lynchburg College and Virginia Wesleyan College. To see a full listing of teams honored, click here.
W&L finished the 2012 season with a 15-5 overall record after advancing to the NCAA Division III Tournament and losing in the first round to host Mary Washington, 16-8. The Generals also registered a perfect 9-0 mark in conference action and claimed the program's 13th ODAC Championship.
