W&L Women's Golf Remains in Second-Place at ODAC's

NELLYSFORD, Va. – The 19th-ranked Washington and Lee women's golf team carded a 342 on Monday and remains in second-place after the second round of the ODAC Championship held at the Stoney Creek Golf Course. 

Bridgewater, ranked 15th in Division III, still leads the event after posting a 331-330---661 (+85) across the first two days.  W&L is at 335-342—677 (+101) and Randolph-Macon claims a 349-346—695 (+119) for a distant third.

Individually, W&L sophomore Mary-Frances Hall (State Road, N.C. / Elkin) is tied for the lead out of 23 golfers with Bridgewater's Christina Herbert.  Both have shot 77-77—154 (+10) over the first two rounds.

Sophomore Liza Freed (Alexandria, Va. / St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) is in fourth-place with a 76-86—162 (+18), while classmate Dana Droz (Lancaster, Pa. / Veritas Academy) is in seventh with an 88-82—170 (+26).  Senior Sara Moir (Roanoke, Va. / Hidden Valley) fired a 94-98—192 (+48) for 15th and junior Katelyn Degnan (Saint Petersburg, Fla. / Canterbury School) is in 19th-place with a 103-97—200 (+56).

The final round of the 2016 ODAC Championship commences on Tuesday morning from the Wintergreen Resort.
