MONTPELIER, Va. – The Washington and Lee women's golf team finished play at the Randolph-Macon Invitational on Sunday at The Hollows Golf Club.
W&L recorded a 380 team score on Saturday, but had two players withdraw so no team score was recorded for the Generals on Sunday.
Methodist University claimed the team portion of the event, notching a two-day score of 312-318—630. The Monarchs also had the individual medalist as Kelsie Carralero shot a +4 score of 77-71—148.
The Generals were led by first-year Lydia Barit (Paget, Bermuda / Middlesex School), who finished in 52nd-place with a score of 96-98—194. First-year Sara Moir (Roanoke, Va. / Hidden Valley) finished in a tie for 55th with a 100-103—203. First-years Rachael Wright (Roanoke, Va. / North Cross) and Nicole Kasica (Greensboro, N.C. / Northern Guilford) both withdrew.
W&L will return to action on April 1-2 when it competes in the Piedmont Spring Invitational at the Orchard Golf & Country Club in Clarkesville, Ga.
