MONTPELIER, Va. – The Washington and Lee women's golf team posted a score of 380 on Saturday and sits in 10th-place after the first day of competition at the Randolph-Macon Invitational held at The Hollows Golf Club.
Methodist leads the team portion of the event with a 312 team score. Delaware State (316), Kutztown (342), Gettysburg (356) and Hardin-Simmons (363) rounded out the Top 5.
Individually, Methodist's Kelsie Carralero is the leader on day one after carding a +5 score of 77.
First-year Rachael Wright (Roanoke, Va. / North Cross) leads the W&L contingent at the event after posting an 83 to rank 14th out of 65 competitors. First-year Lydia Barit (Paget, Bermuda / Middlesex School) is tied for 47th with a 96, while first-year Sara Moir (Roanoke, Va. / Hidden Valley) is 55th after shooting 100. First-year Nicole Kasica (Greensboro, N.C. / Northern Guilford) rounds out the Generals in the field with a 101 that is tied for 56th.
Action continues on Sunday with the second and final round from The Hollows. Action begins at 8:30 am.
