The Old Dominion Athletic Conference released is 2010 Cross Country Preseason polls and the Washington and Lee women’s team was picked second by the league coaches, while the men’s team was pegged to finish third.

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference recently released its 2009-2010 All-Academic Team and Washington and Lee once again led the league in number of athletes honored.

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has announced that Washington and Lee University has claimed the 2010 Dan Wooldridge Overall Sports Champion Cup for the seventh-straight year.

Washington and Lee University held its annual Athletic Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 18 at Lee Chapel. Headlining the award winners were senior soccer/track & field athlete Maggie Sutherland (Pittsburgh, Pa./Sewickley Academy) and senior basketball/track & field athlete Ben Goetsch (Timonium, Md./Gilman), who were selected as the “Pres” Brown Outstanding Senior Female and Male Athletes of the Year as voted on by members of the department.

The Washington and Lee men’s and women’s cross country teams were both honored as U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Teams as announces by the USTFCCCA recently.
