FOREST, Va. — The Old Dominion Athletic Conference released its 2013 men's cross country preseason coaches' poll on Monday, and Washington and Lee received 70 points to land fourth out of 11 schools.

Last year's league runner-up Bridgewater collected eight first-place votes on the way to 98 poll points to lead the voting. Defending conference champion Lynchburg sits second with 92 tallies, including three first-place votes, followed by Guilford with 74 points. After W&L, Roanoke is fifth with 63 points, Eastern Mennonite is sixth with 59 and Virginia Wesleyan is seventh with 40. Shenandoah (37), Hampden-Sydney (30), Emory & Henry (27) and Randolph (15) round out the poll.

In 2012, the Generals took fifth at the ODAC Championship, finishing three points out of third. Senior Kane Thomas (Seattle, Wash./Shorewood) led W&L, crossing the line 19th in 28:09.64. Sophomore Levi Warring (Williamsburg, Va./Lafayette) came in 28th with a time of 28:54.25.
