FOREST, Va. — The Old Dominion Athletic Conference released its Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Monday for the week ending March 25, and Washington and Lee senior Dash Dericks (Waveland, Ind./The American School in Switzerland) was named the Men's Field Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week.
Dericks took second in two events at the Dr. Jack M. Toms Alumni Invitational on Friday. He placed second in the discus at 46.54m (152'8.50") and second in the javelin at 48.53m (159'3.00"). His toss in the discus was a season-best and is the 10th-best mark in Division III this season.
The Generals will send a group of competitors to the Raleigh Relays on Friday, and then the rest of the team will compete at the Christopher Newport Invitational on Saturday.
