W&L Men's Track & Field in Action on Day Two of Camel City Invite

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Washington and Lee men's track and field team sent a select group of competitors to the Camel City Invitational on Saturday at the JDL Fast Track, and the 4x400m relay headlined the Generals' results.

The foursome finished eighth overall and were the top Division III squad with a time of 3:27.31. The quartet consisted of senior Jack Jones (Lookout Mountain, Ga./McCallie School), sophomores Carter Huffman (Sophia, N.C./South Western Randolph) and Drew Pranka (Princeton, Ill./Princeton), and first-year Donovan Fiore (Gilbert, Ariz./Chandler Prep Academy). It marked the fastest 4x400m relay time of the season for the Blue and White.

Jones and Fiore were also in action in the 200m. Fiore recorded a time of 23.77 (36th) and Jones crossed the finish line in 23.82 (37th).

The Generals next compete at the Roanoke Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
