RALIEGH, N.C. — The Washington and Lee men's track and field team sent junior Ian McDonald (Richmond, Va./Douglas S. Freeman) and senior Levi Warring (Williamsburg, Va./Lafayette) to the Wolfpack Last Chance on Friday.
McDonald recorded a season-best time of 3:54.33 to take 15th overall and second among Division III competitors in the 1,500m. McDonald's previous best this year was 3:56.27 at the ODAC Championship on April 23. McDonald's career-best time is 3:54.00 set last year, and the W&L record is 3:53.60 set by Angus McBryde in 1983. Warring registered a time of 4:08.87 in the race on Friday.
The Generals will send a select group of competitors to the SWAT Final Qualifying Meet on Monday, May 16.
