W&L Men's T&F Concludes Season at NCAA Championships

CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Washington and Lee men's track and field team finished its 2012 season on Friday, as two Generals competed on day two of the NCAA Division III Championships at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

Sophomore Dillon Myers (Foxborough, Mass./Foxborough) completed the remaining five events for the decathlon, placing 11th overall with a school record 6,515 points. He finished 15th in the 110m hurdles (16.11), 14th in the pole vault (3.90m), fifth in the javelin (50.02m), first in the 1,500m (4:31.27) and recorded a throw of 32.49m in the discus.

Sophomore Zander Tallman (Grand Blanc, Mich./Cranbook-Kingswood) competed in the preliminaries of the 400m, clocking in at 48.90 seconds for 11th place. His time did not advance him to the finals in the event.

With the end of competition for W&L at the NCAA Track and Field Championships, the Generals conclude their season.
