W&L Men's T&F in Action at Vince Brown Invitational

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's track & field team took part in the CNU Vince Brown Invitational hosted by Christopher Newport University on Saturday afternoon at the Freeman Center.

Highlights for the Generals, who competed with a limited contingent, included sophomore Zander Tallman (Grand Blanc, Mich./Cranbrook Kingswood), who took first among Div. III competitors and seventh overall in the 200m with a time of 23.08. He also finished third in Div. III in the 60m with a mark of 7.23.

First-year Aaron Jeong (Federal Way, Wash./Thomas Jefferson) finished first in Div. III in the 60m in 7.23 and sophomore Dillon Myers (Foxborough, Mass./Foxborough) finished just behind Tallman in the 200m, taking second in Div. III with a time of 23.25.

The 4x400m relay team of sophomore Mac Keers (Wilton, Conn./Wilton), senior Tyler Grant (Suwanee, Ga./South Forsyth), Myers and Tallman placed first in Div. III and second overall with a time of 3:25.86.

Grant also added a time of 2:01.82 in the 800m, a time that currently ranks as the fourth-fastest time in the ODAC this season.

Washington and Lee returns to the track on Saturday when they take part in the Bucknell Winter Classic.
