EMORY, Va. -- The 22nd-ranked Washington and Lee men's tennis team notched an 8-1 decision over Emory & Henry on Tuesday afternoon in Emory, Va.
The Generals swept the three doubles points, but needed a tiebreaker at No. 1 doubles to take a 9-8 victory. In singles action, the Wasps recorded a win at No. 1 via a tie-break, but W&L easily claimed the remaining five singles points for the win.
The Blue & White improved to 8-2 overall and 7-0 in the ODAC, while E&H fell to 2-8 overall and 0-3 in the conference.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Thursday when it travels to Shenandoah for a 5:00 pm match.
