LEXINGTON, Va. – The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has announced the pairings for the men's and women's tennis tournaments that begin this weekend.
Both Washington and Lee teams earned the top seed in their respective tournaments. The men will open with eighth-seeded Hampden-Sydney on Saturday at 12:00 pm. The women will begin their tournament with an 11:00 am match on Sunday against eighth-seeded Guilford.
The semifinals and finals for both the men's and women's tournaments will be held on April 27-28 on the campus of Virginia Wesleyan College in Virginia Beach.
Should the W&L men defeat the Tigers, they would take on either fourth-seeded Guilford or fifth-seeded Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday, April 27 at 9:00 am. The men's championship match will be on Sunday, April 28 at 10:00 am.
If the W&L women defeat Guilford, they would take on the winner of a match between fourth-seeded Bridgewater and fifth-seeded Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday, April 27 at 1:00 pm. The women's title match will be held on Sunday, April 28 at 1:00 pm.
The Generals' men's team will be seeking its fourth straight ODAC title and its 32nd championship in the 37 years the league has recognized a champion. The W&L women will be playing for their 23rd overall title and their 11th straight crown.
