W&L Men's Tennis Downs Lynchburg in ODAC Quarters, 5-0
LEXINGTON, Va. -- The 25th-ranked and second-seeded Washington and Lee men's tennis team recorded a 5-0 victory over seventh-seeded Lynchburg College in the quarterfinals of the ODAC Tournament on Friday afternoon at the Washburn Courts.
The Generals notched wins at all three doubles positions, while first-year Hayden White (Baltimore, Md./Towson) and sophomore Jeremy Becht (Woodstock, Ga./Etowah) posted victories at No. 1 and No. 2 singles. The remainder of the singles positions were left unfinished.
The win improved W&L to 13-7 overall, while the Hornets fell to 4-10.
W&L returns to action on Saturday as it takes on third-seeded Bridgewater in the semifinals at 9:00 am.
