Regan is in his third season as an assistant coach for the
men’s soccer team. Last season, he helped guide W&L
to an 8-5-4 overall record and a 5-2-3 conference mark.
During his first season at W&L, Regan helped lead the
Generals to an 8-7-2 overall record and an appearance in the ODAC
Tournament as the No. 6 seed. W&L upset No. 3 seed Virginia
Wesleyan in the first round to advance to the semifinals before
falling to seventh-seeded Hampden-Sydney.
Before arriving at W&L, Regan had previously served as a
volunteer assistant coach at Wheeling Jesuit University for two
seasons and as an assistant soccer, hockey and lacrosse coach at
The Linsly School for one year. Prior to that, he also
served as a volunteer assistant coach at Robert Morris University
(2008) and was the head coach of the Eagles F.C. in Wheeling,
W.Va., from 2006-10.
A 2008 Wheeling Jesuit graduate with a bachelor of science in
business administration, Regan played four years of collegiate
soccer, first at Robert Morris and later at WJU. He helped lead RMU
to a conference championship and NCAA berth in 2005 and finished
his collegiate career as a captain and two-time all-conference
selection for Wheeling Jesuit. He later played professionally in
the Irish Premier League for Dungannon Swifts F.C., in 2008.
