LEXINGTON, Va. — The Washington and Lee men's soccer team's ODAC contest at Virginia Wesleyan scheduled for Saturday at 7:00 pm at VWC's Tinder Center has been pushed to Sunday at 3:30 pm due to unplayable field conditions. The game will be played at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex Stadium, located at 2181 Landstown Rd., Virginia Beach, 23456.
The Generals are currently 6-0-5 overall and 4-0-2 in the ODAC, which has the Blue and White in third in the conference standings. Junior forward Zach Colby (Prairie Village, Kan./Shawnee Mission East) leads the team with 17 points on eight goals and one assist and ranks second in the conference in goals and third in points. Junior midfielder Al Organ (St. Paul, Minn./DeLaSalle) is the only other player with double-digit points with 10 on four goals and two assists.
The Marlins enter the week as the fifth-best team in the league with a 7-4-1 overall record and are 3-2 in ODAC play. Three players have 10 or more points on the season, with senior Brian Cornell leading the way with 18 points on seven goals and four assists. Sophomore Josh Kemp and first-year Kyle Fisher have recorded 11 and 10 points, respectively.
