W&L Men's Soccer Plays to 0-0 Draw With Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. – For the third-consecutive match, the Washington and Lee men's soccer team played to a draw, as it tied Greensboro College, 0-0, on Saturday afternoon at Pride Field.

The Generals (7-4-3) were outshot in the contest by a margin of 18-12, but senior keeper Ben Petitto (Gainesville, Fla./St. Francis) held The Pride at bay, stopping seven shots. Meanwhile, GC keeper Woody Wilder recorded six saves in the match. Both keepers played the entire match.

W&L and Greensboro both registered four corner kicks during the match, while W&L had two offsides and Greensboro had seven offsides.

The Generals conclude regular season play on Wednesday, hosting Emory & Henry College at 4:30 pm.
