FOREST, Va. – Washington and Lee sophomore attackman Cameron Dabir (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich./Culver Academy) has been selected as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for the week ending April 28.
Dabir helped lead the W&L men's lacrosse team to a pair of conference wins during the week while totaling 10 points on eight goals and two assists.
In a 14-3 win over Shenandoah on Wednesday, Dabir scored a team-best four goals and picked up three ground balls. Then on Saturday, he led the team with four goals and two assists in an 11-10 victory over Hampden-Sydney.
For the season, Dabir is second on the team in scoring with 45 points on 31 goals and 14 assists. The 2012 ODAC Rookie of the Year, he has record 90 career points on 58 goals and 32 assists.
Washington and Lee (13-3) has claimed the ODAC's No. 3 seed for the conference tournament and will host sixth-seeded Virginia Wesleyan in a quarterfinal contest on Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
