PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – Washington and Lee first-year golfer Conley Hurst (Little Rock, Ark. / Episcopal) is tied for first out of 101 individuals following the first round of the Callaway Gardens Intercollegiate hosted by Berry College on Saturday.
Hurst carded a -3 score of 69 and is tied with Dakun Chang of Methodist following the first 18 holes. As a team, the Generals rank 7th out of the 16 teams in the tournament with a score of 310 (+22). Methodist is the team leader with a +5 score of 293.
Junior Patrick Clossin (Ooltewah, Tenn. / McCallie School) shot an opening round score of 79 and is tied for 41st overall. First-years Todd Alan McDonald (Little Rock, Ark. / Little Rock Christian) and Cody Solomon (Peachtree Corners, Ga. / Wesleyan School) both carded an 81 to tie for 53rd, while sophomore Teddy Corcoran (Rochester, N.Y. / Brighton) posted an 82 and is tied for 66th.
