CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. – The Washington and Lee men's golf team posted a second round score of 285 on Saturday for a total of 321-285—606 at the Marine Corps Intercollegiate held at the Paradise Point Golf Club.
The Generals did not finish among the Top 16 teams after playing the Gold (Par 72) and Scarlet Courses (Par 70) through the first two rounds and will finish the tournament on the Scarlet Course on Sunday.
Individually, the Generals are led by first-year Teddy Corcoran (Rochester, N.Y. / Brighton), who shot an even par 70 on Saturday and claims a two-day score of 79-70—149. Sophomore Patrick Clossin (Ooltewah, Tenn. / McCallie School) has posted a 78-72—150, while junior Mark Sowinski (Greensboro, N.C. / Bishop McGuinness) claims an 84-70—154. Junior Jack Cottrill (Charlotte, N.C. / Myers Park) has notched an 80-81—161, while sophomore Joey Manzinger (Baden, Pa. / Sewickley Academy) has gone 90-73—163.
Action continues on Sunday with the third and final round from Paradise Point.
