W&L Golf Remains in 28th Place After Day 2 of the C&F Bank Invitational

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Washington and Lee men's golf team resides in 28th place after the second day of the three day C&F Bank Invitational hosted by William & Mary at the Kingsmill Resort on Monday.

The Generals followed up a 325 on Sunday with a 328 on Monday for a two-day score of 653. The University of Missouri leads the primarily Division I field with a score of 282-294—576.

The Tigers also claim two of the top three individuals after the first two rounds. Emilio Cuartero (66-74) and Jace Long (67-73) of Missouri, along with Sebastian Backlund of Francis Marion, lead the way with scores of 140 (-2).

First-year Patrick Clossin (Ooltewah, Tenn./McCallie School) is leading the Generals after the first two days of competition with a score of 77-79—156. Senior Wilson Anthony (Fordyce Ark./Episcopal) has recorded a score of 82-80—162, while sophomore Jake Struebing (Amherst, N.Y./Amherst Central) has posted an 82-85—167. Sophomore Jack Cottrill (Charlotte, N.C./Myers Park) sports a two-day total of 84-84—168 and first-year Andrew Winter (Darien, Conn./Darien) has carded a 92-89—181.

Action continues on Tuesday morning with the final round from the Kingsmill Resort.
