INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced on Wednesday that Washington and Lee University has been selected to host the 2014 and 2015 Division III Field Hockey National Championships.
W&L was one of 523 sites that were selected to host 82 of its 89 championships through the 2014-18 seasons. The sites were selected by the respective sport committees, made up of coaches and administrators from NCAA member schools and conferences, and ultimately approved by the appropriate divisional championships cabinets or committees.
The Generals have hosted the Division III Field Hockey Championships on the W&L Turf Field once before, as Salisbury downed Messiah, 1-0, to claim the title in 2005.
The 2014 championship event will be held on November 22-23, while the 2015 event will be conducted on November 21-22.
