FOREST, Va. — The Old Dominion Athletic Conference released its 2013 field hockey preseason coaches’ poll on Tuesday and Washington and Lee was tabbed fourth in the league with 39 points.

Sophomore Charlotte MacDonald (Bluemont, Va./Foxcroft) returns as the squad’s top goal scorer, after notching four in her first season. Senior Lauren Boone (Louisville, Ky./Collegiate) recorded three goals and three assists to tie for second in points in 2012.

Senior Victoria Van Natten (Towson, Md./Towson) earned First Team All-ODAC honors last season as the team’s top midfielder. Senior Riley Hampsch (Hopedale, Mass./Hopedale) will lead the defense, after receiving Second Team All-ODAC honors in 2012. Hampsch totaled a goal and two defensive saves in 16 games.
