    ODAC Releases 2013-14 Academic All-Conference Team The Old Dominion Athletic Conference released its 2013-14 All-Academic Team on Monday and Washington and Lee once again led the league in number of athletes honored.

    W&L Claims the 2014 ODAC Overall Sports Champion Cup For the 12th-consecutive year, Washington and Lee University has claimed the Dan Wooldridge Overall Sports Champion Cup, as announced by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference on Tuesday. The Generals claimed both the Women’s Commissioner’s Cup and the Men’s Commissioner’s Cup on their way to the overall title.

    A Record Number of W&L Students Earn Winter Scholar-Athlete Awards Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn has announced that a record 210 students earned Scholar-Athlete awards during the recently completed winter term. The students are all members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.500.

    W&L Field Hockey Garners NFHCA Honors The National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced its 2013 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad and the recipients of the national Academic Team Award recently. Washington and Lee garnered the team award, and placed 16 players on the academic squad. It is the most players to earn the accolade for W&L since 16 were named in 2009.

Schulmeyer also earned Third Team All-ODAC honors.
