LEXINGTON, Va. — The Washington and Lee field hockey team has joined hands with the National Foundation for Cancer Research to participate in the 3rd annual "Stick it to Cancer" campaign, in which field hockey teams across the country are invited to participate by committing to donate proceeds from at least one game to NFCR.
The Generals will be donating proceeds raised during their game on Saturday, October 20, against Virginia Wesleyan at 2:00 pm to NFCR.
To raise funds, the team will be selling T-shirts, as well as raffle tickets with three winners getting a chance to make a goal from the fifty line at halftime. If any of the participants score a goal, they will win a free T-shirt.
