Anthony Figueiredo is in his third season with the Generals, serving as the team’s defensive line coach and strength and conditioning coordinator.  His first season culminated in W&L claiming the 2010 ODAC title and a bid to the NCAA Division III playoffs, while the Generals finished 8-2 overall following his second season.

Figueiredo came to W&L from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he served as the defensive line coach for the past three seasons.  While there, he helped lead the Engineers to a 14 wins and mentored numerous players to all-conference citations.

In addition to his experience at WPI, Figueiredo served as a substitute teacher at South Community High School in Worcester, Mass., and he coached at a number of camps in New England, New York and New Jersey.  He is a 2007 graduate of Worcester State College, where he earned a degree in health education.  Figueiredo was a four-year starter at defensive end for WSC, serving as a team captain in 2006.  He was named team defensive MVP and garnered First Team All-Conference and All-ECAC honors as a senior.
