BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Washington and Lee senior offensive lineman Connor Hollenbeck (Alpharetta, Ga./Alpharetta) has been tabbed to the D3Football.com Preseason All-America team which was released recently.
Hollenbeck was selected to the website's second team as an offensive tackle, one of four tackles and 10 total offensive lineman honored.
A three-year starter on the Generals' offensive front, Hollenbeck was a First Team All-ODAC, First Team All-State and Second Team All-South Region selection following the 2012 season. He was part of an offensive line that paved the way for two 1,000-yard backs as W&L led Division III with an average of 363.7 rushing yards per game. He started all 11 contests and helped the Generals average 431.3 total yards and 35.3 points per game as W&L claimed its second ODAC title in three seasons.
Hollenbeck was a Second Team All-ODAC selection as a sophomore and an Honorable Mention All-ODAC honoree following his rookie campaign.
Washington and Lee completed the 2012 season with an 8-3 overall record and a 6-1 record in conference play. The Generals claimed the ODAC Championship and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament, falling to Hobart in the opening round, 38-20.
