The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced its 2013-14 ODAC/StellarOne Fall and Winter Sportsmanship teams on Thursday, and Washington and Lee had several athletes honored among the 12 sports.

Numerous W&L Students Earn Fall Scholar-Athlete Awards
Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn has announced that 190 students earned Scholar-Athlete awards during the recently completed fall term. The students are all members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.50.

Hollenbeck Adds Another All-America Citation
Washington and Lee senior offensive lineman Connor Hollenbeck (Alpharetta, Ga. / Alpharetta) added another postseason honor recently when he was named to the D3Football.com All-America team.

W&L's Hollerith Named VaSID Offensive Rookie of the Year
The Virginia Sports Information Directors released its 2013 College Division All-State Football team on Tuesday and three Generals were honored, including first-year running back Marshall Hollerith (Richmond, Va. / St. Christopher's) who was named the Offensive Rookie of the Year.

The American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) announced its 2013 Division III Coaches All-America team on Monday morning and Washington and Lee senior offensive lineman Connor Hollenbeck (Alpharetta, Ga./Alpharetta) was among those honored.

Washington and Lee senior football players Connor Hollenbeck (Alpharetta, Ga. / Alpharetta) and Mitchell Thompson (Memphis, Tenn. / Memphis University School) have been selected to participate in the 2013 D3 Senior Classic All-Star game.

The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) released its 2013 Capital One Division III Academic All-District Football squad on Thursday afternoon and Washington and Lee had four players selected to the 25-member District 5 team.

First-year running back Marshall Hollerith rushed for a season-high 184 yards in the 14-10 victory over Catholic on Saturday to earn this week's Generalssports.com Athlete of the Week honor.

Washington and Lee Football - Hampden-Sydney Game Notes
Washington and Lee and Hampden-Sydney will be meeting for the 72nd time, with the Tigers holding a 36-33-2 advantage in the all-time series that began during the 1899 season. W&L has won two of the last three meetings, including a 45-42 four-overtime win last season to claim the ODAC title. Hampden-Sydney holds a 6-4 edge in the last 10 contests, with an average scoring margin of just 1.8 points per game across that span. Defense has not been a focal point in those contests: W&L averages 33.1 points per game, while H-SC averages 34.9 ppg.

Washington and Lee Football - Catholic Game Notes
W&L and Catholic will be meeting for the 18th time, with the Generals holding a 14-3 advantage in the all-time series that began during the 1981 season. W&L has won four-straight in the series, including a 41-14 win last season in Washington, D.C. The Generals have never lost to the Cardinals in Lexington, boasting a 9-0 all-time record against CUA at Wilson Field. W&L has averaged 490.7 yards per game over the last three outings against the Cardinals, outscoring CUA by a combined score of 139-41 over that span.

Bridgewater snapped a two-game losing streak to W&L, recording a 31-14 victory last season. The last time the two teams met on Wilson Field was the highest scoring game in the history of the series. W&L rolled up 606 yards of total offense en route to a 52-42 victory over the Eagles.

Washington and Lee and Randolph-Macon will be meeting for the 62nd time, with the series deadlocked at 29-29-3 since it began in 1903. The Generals have won the last three in the series, including a 49-14 win last season in Lexington. In those three games, Washington and Lee has averaged 489.3 yards and 41.7 points per game. W&L is just 10-18 all-time in games against R-MC played in Ashland.

Washington and Lee racked up 441 rushing yards and came up with a late interception to preserve a 21-17 victory over Emory & Henry in ODAC football action on Saturday afternoon at Fred Selfe Stadium.

Washington and Lee and Emory & Henry will be meeting for the 43rd time, with the Wasps holding a 28-14 advantage in the all-time series that began during the 1921 season. E&H won 19-straight meetings between 1983-2001, but the Generals have recovered to win seven of the last nine encounters, including each of the last three. Last season, W&L rushed for an ODAC record 503 yards in producing a 45-28 win over the Wasps at Wilson Field.

Washington and Lee and Guilford will be meeting for the 27th time, with the Generals holding a 15-11 advantage in the all-time series that began during the 1965 season. W&L has won four straight in the series and the last Guilford win was a 34-27 triumph in Lexington on Oct. 25, 2008. W&L has won the last three meetings by a combined score of 160-50, including a 63-0 victory in the last game between these two teams in Lexington during the 2011 season.

W&L and Sewanee will be meeting for the 62nd time, with the Generals holding a 39-22 advantage in the all-time series that began during the 1892 season. W&L has won each of the last eight meetings, the longest winning streak by either team in the 121 years these two teams have played. The Tigers have not won at Wilson Field since 1986, dropping each of the last 12 games played in Lexington.
