LEXINGTON, Va. — The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) recently announced its 2014 Division III All-South Region honorees and Washington and Lee senior center fielder Keegan Dolan (Bethesda, Md./Landon) was named to the second team.
This marked the first time that Dolan has received all-region recognition from the coaches association. He led the ODAC with 11 home runs this season, and set a new W&L single-season record. The previous mark was nine done three times. He hit .369 (52-of-141) with 33 RBI, 32 runs, 10 steals, seven doubles and two triples.
Dolan had the fourth-highest slugging percentage (.681) in the league and had a .404 on-base percentage. He finished his career tied for third on W&L's all-time list in home runs (18) and was fourth in steals (32). This season, Dolan also registered the second-most total bases (96) in program history.
Earlier this year, Dolan received First Team All-ODAC accolades, First Team All-Region laurels by D3Baseball.com and was named to the CoSIDA Capital One Division III Academic All-District squad.
The Generals finished the 2014 season 18-13 overall and 11-9 in the ODAC. The team recorded its best winning percentage (.581) since 2009.
