W&L Baseball Game Against Stevenson Canceled

LEXINGTON, Va. — The Washington and Lee baseball game against Stevenson scheduled for Wednesday at Cap'n Dick Smith Field has been canceled.

Due to the projected forecast of thunderstorms coming through the Lexington area this afternoon, both teams agreed the game would not be played. The contest will not be made up later in the season.

The Generals most recently defeated Marymount on Monday, 8-4, to improve to 9-4 this season. First-year third baseman Colton Campbell (Deatsville, Ala./Holtville) leads the team with a .412 batting average (14-of-34), while senior Nate Plein (El Cajon, Calif./St. Augustine) has a team-best record of 3-1 with one save and a 3.04 ERA.

W&L returns to the field on Saturday when it hosts Guilford for a doubleheader, starting at 12:00 pm. It will also be the breast cancer awareness game for the Generals, and all fans in attendance are encouraged to wear pink.
