LEXINGTON, Va. — The Washington and Lee baseball team will be hosting its inaugural breast cancer awareness game on Saturday, March 23. In conjunction with the Susan G. Komen Passionately Pink for the Cure, the event will begin at 10:30 am, with the Generals taking on Roanoke in a doubleheader at 12:00 pm.
The team will be selling custom made t-shirts for $20 a piece with the profits going to the charity. W&L will also be holding a 50/50 raffle, and donations will also be accepted.
A tailgate begins at 10:30 am at the Liberty Hall Ruins and will run until 1:30 pm. Beam Me Up BBQ will provide food, while supplies last, and fans are encouraged to wear pink.
So if you are able to attend next Saturday, make sure you come out and support the Generals as they join the fight against breast cancer.
