    Lawson and Westfal Highlight Major Award Winners at W&L Washington and Lee University held its annual Athletic Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 15 at Lee Chapel. Headlining the award winners were senior soccer player Kat Lawson (White Post, Va./Clarke County) and senior football player Charlie Westfal (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan), who were selected as the “Pres” Brown Outstanding Senior Female and Male Athletes of the Year as voted on by members of the department.

    W&L Baseball 2012 Season Preview Despite posting an overall record of just 15-16 last season, the Washington and Lee baseball team and Head Coach Jeff Stickley have reason to be optimistic about their chances heading into 2012. W&L posted an ODAC record of 12-6, its most conference wins in a season since winning 15 games in 2003, and lost just two players to graduation. With that kind of continuity coming back, Stickley believes his team is in good position as the start of the 2012 season draws near.
