2010: Second year on the team … will look to compete for time behind the plate as a reserve catcher … missed some time last season due to a broken hand. 

2009: Appeared in three games with one start … had one hit in four at-bats and scored two runs.

High School: Earned three letters in baseball at Seattle Prep … helped lead baseball team to a pair of regular season division championships, as well as the 2008 metro championship … was a two-time all-metro selection as a catcher. 

Off the field: Sister, Alexis Shanan, played soccer at Yale … grandfather, Jim, played baseball at the University of Michigan … undeclared major.
