BALTIMORE, Md. -- Washington and Lee senior Will Englehart (Cockeysville, Md./Dulaney) has been named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Scholar All-America team, which was announced recently.
Englehart is among 61 players from Division I, II and III schools that were honored. The criteria states that a player maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, be an outstanding senior lacrosse player, be named to a North-South Senior All-Star roster or be named to the USILA All-America team.
An engineering major, Englehart earned first All-ODAC honors in 2008 after leading the team with a career-best 37 goals. He started all 15 games at attack and was tied for second on the team in scoring with 42 points (37 g, 5 a). Englehart completed his career with 68 points on 62 goals and six assists.
Washington and Lee finished the 2008 campaign with a 9-6 overall record and a 5-1 mark in the ODAC. The Generals dropped three contests by a single-goal, including a 13-12 setback to Virginia Wesleyan in the ODAC Tournament Semifinals.
