W&L Baseball Teams With Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee baseball team has partnered with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and will be supporting the cause, raising funds and creating awareness of the disease at the Generals' final home games.

During W&L's doubleheader with Eastern Mennonite on Saturday, the squad will solicit donations and pledges. Pledges can be generic or based on total runs and hits over the double-dip. The doubleheader will begin at noon.

The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a nonprofit donor-supported organization, is to assure the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the leading organization in the United States devoted to cystic fibrosis. It funds and accredits more than 115 CF care centers, 95 adult care programs and 50 affiliate programs, and has 80 fund-raising chapters and branch offices nationwide.
