Bryant Fulk Named Virginia DII-III Defensive Lineman of the Year

RICHMOND, Va. -- Washington and Lee senior defensive end/linebacker Bryant Fulk (Oceanside, Calif./St. Augustine) has been named the Virginia Division II-III Defensive Lineman of the Year by the Touchdown Club of Richmond.

Fulk will receive his award at the Dudley Award banquet held on Thu., Dec. 6 at 6:30 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.

With Fulk's selection in 2007, W&L has now claimed the last three Defensive Lineman of the Year awards. Fulk also received the award last season and Liam Murray '06 was the recipient of the 2005 award.

A two-time First Team All-ODAC selection, Fulk finished the 2007 season with 67 tackles and led the conference with 6.0 sacks. He also had 10.0 tackles for a loss and had one interception. Fulk totaled 72 tackles and 6.0 sacks last season and completed his career with 21.5 sacks, second all-time at W&L.

Washington and Lee completed the 2007 season with a 6-3 overall record, 4-2 in the ODAC. The Generals' senior class finished with 26 victories (26-14) over their four seasons, the third-highest total in school history.
