W&L's James Tops Golfstat Division III Rankings

LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee senior Nathaniel James (Keller, Texas/Keller) sits atop the Golfstat NCAA Division III player rankings.

James is 11-1 when going head-to-head against Golfstat's Top 25 Division III players this fall (38-1 against the Top 100) and claims a 71.2 scoring average over six rounds played.

The current ODAC Golfer of the Week, James was the individual medalist at the Guilford/Tom O'Briant Invitational held on Oct. 8-9 in Greensboro, N.C. He shot a seven-under par score of 68-67--135 to finish five strokes better than the second-place golfer.

James is a two-time PING Division III All-American and three-time First Team All-ODAC selection. He earned First Team All-America honors following the 2006-07 season when he finished in a tie for 19th place at the NCAA Division III Championship event with a score of 75-75-78-79--307.

Washington and Lee completes its fall schedule on Monday as it takes part in the Oglethorpe/Royal Lakes Fall Classic in Flowery Branch, Ga.
