Lexington, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's and women's basketball programs will join the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and over 700 schools nationally in the organization's "Think Pink" initiative at two upcoming home games.
The women will support the initiative on Sat., Feb. 9 when they take on Roanoke at 4:00 pm, while the men will participate in the event on Wed., Feb. 13 when they face Emory & Henry at 7:00 pm.
All fans attending either of the games are encouraged to wear
"pink" to support the cause.
Coaches and staff will participate by wearing pink and donations can be made during the game to the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund.
The Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund is a 501 c(3) charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against cancer through raising money for scientific research, assisting the under served and unifying people for a common cause.
The WBCA's "Think Pink" initiative is a global, unified effort for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond
