W&L's NATHANIEL JAMES SELECTED TO NCAA GOLF FIELD
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Washington and Lee junior Nathaniel James (Keller, Texas/Keller) has been selected to participate in the 2007 NCAA Division III Golf Championships as an individual.
The Division III Championships will be held May 15-18 at Hawthorns Golf and Country Club and Prairie View Golf Club, in Fishers and Carmel, Ind. The championships will be co-hosted by Anderson University and the Hamilton County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
James was one of five individuals to be selected to the field and one of two from the ODAC, joining Hampden-Sydney's Bob Boykin.
This is the second-straight year that James has been selected as an individual, he finished 34th out of 120 golfers at last year's NCAA Championship event, carding an 80-78-72-78--308 (+24).
A two-time First Team All-ODAC selection, 2006 ODAC Player of the Year and 2006 Ping Third Team All-America selection, James has played 21 rounds this year and claims a 73.5 scoring average.
